I’m a real proponent of a hearty breakfast, both for personal tastes – I don’t like the smell of cappuccinos and croissants in the morning – and for my physical needs. It is for these physical needs, which include keeping glycemic peaks in check and getting my metabolism running well, that many recommend eggs for breakfast a couple of times a week, but how do I make these meals?
Sunny Side Up Fried Eggs
Sunny Side Up Fried Eggs are a classic, very quick to make in the morning and combine with toast and freshly squeezed fruit. Heat a nonstick skillet and gently break a whole egg into the center; cover with a lid and when the whites are cooked, the scrambled eggs are done. Since the yolk will remain almost raw, be sure to use only fresh chicken eggs.
The chicken egg can be stored for up to 25 days, if you keep it in the refrigerator at 0 to +2 degrees Celsius.
Soft Boiled Egg
The soft-boiled egg is a version of the bull’s-eye “in the shell” and is served with toast, black coffee and natural yogurt.Simply boil the egg for 3 minutes and enjoy it by placing it in a poached egg and breaking it with a teaspoon at one end: inside you will find raw egg yolk and freshly cooked egg white.
The egg has a boiling time of 3 minutes, after you place it in water that is already boiling and salted.
This is also called an English omelet. This dish is eggs cooked in a pan, but stirred while cooking with a whisk or spoon. Before cooking, you can beat the eggs beforehand by whipping this with a couple of tablespoons of cream or milk. They are little seasoned, but can be enriched with salt and pepper if desired. This dish is made two ways and served with crispy bacon, toast and coffee.
Regular Scrambled Eggs
A regular scrambled egg is an egg that is cooked in a pan with constant stirring until fully cooked, when the egg whites and yolk are fully cooked and curdled.
On the other hand, if you let the eggs cook only partially and leave it soft and a little juicy, it will be called “baveuse”: the taste will not change, but it will be more appetizing in the toast.
Croque madame, for champions
An unimaginable perfection that cannot be made “in a hurry,” but which you will surely enjoy, like many other dishes. This is toast with cheese, ham and scrambled eggs.
First, fry the toast on both sides in butter in a nonstick pan. Then, place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on the toast. Then prepare scrambled eggs and place them on top of the toast just before serving.
Omelet is also an ideal brunch dish and is a type of omelet that is most popular in France. Its typical shape is a bowl, characterized by a compact appearance and a creamy, buttery interior. It can be smooth or stuffed with ham and cheese.
To prepare this dish, beat eggs with grated cheese and fry in a pan with a piece of butter. While the omelet is cooking, place the cheese and ham in the center, where the eggs are still raw. Then, on two opposite sides, wrap the edges of the omelet over the middle covering the filling, then flip the omelet to seal it.
Friends, this treat is unique and one of a kind. Very calorie-dense, based on bacon or salmon, hard-boiled eggs and hollandaise sauce.
First we make a sauce base of water, vinegar, salt and pepper. Pour the resulting mixture into a saucepan in a water bath and whisk the mixture with the yolks until everything thickens. Pour in some melted butter and whisk again to make a thick creamy mixture. After 6 minutes, add the lemon juice. The sauce is ready.
Bring a large amount of water and vinegar to a boil, and as soon as it boils, stir the water with a spoon to create a swirl in the pot. Break an egg into a bowl without damaging the yolk, then carefully lower the egg from the bowl into the center of the whirlpool in your pot. After 2 minutes, the poached egg is ready.
Next, you need to assemble your egg Benedict. Take bread toast as a base, add smoked salmon or crispy bacon, add a poached egg on top and drizzle with hollandaise sauce.
Pancakes are a classic served with maple syrup, honey, melted chocolate, condensed milk, or melted butter. You can make delicious pancakes using only chicken eggs, some flour (which can also be buckwheat and therefore gluten-free), some milk, sugar and a pinch of yeast if you like. As a result, you will have a hearty, high-protein dish!
